CentOS 7 - General Support • How to upgrade CentOS 7.5 to exactly CentOS 7.9, instead of the latest?

I need to upgrade CentOS 7.5 to exactly CentOS 7.9, instead of the latest version. I saw that RHEL has an option "--releasever=7.9" to specify the target minor version. But I am not sure if this option is available in CentOS. If it is not available or "sudo yum --releasever=7.9 update" command ignores it and goes on updating CentOS to the latest version, I would have big trouble because I don't know how to reverse the system back to 7.5. So I ask here for confirmation: can "--releasever=7.9" option upgrade CentOS 7.5 to exactly CentOS 7.9, instead of the latest version? Also, if the --releasever option does not work, what is the correct command to upgrade CentOS 7.5 to exactly CentOS 7.9? Thank you.
